Our answer
A bump test checks sensor and alarm response to test gas. Calibration checks measurement accuracy and allows adjustment following the manufacturer’s procedure. These operations are not interchangeable. Follow the model’s instructions, specified gases and accessories, and site rules; a failed test requires the actions prescribed in the manual.
